Cedarwood Oil, or Cedras atlantica, (genus species) is found on the market under many different names.  It's name  "Cedras" comes from an Arabic word, "kedron,” which means “Power."  However, many plants in the Cupressaceae family may be sold under the Organic Cedarwood Essential Oil label.  

Cedarwood Essential Oil has a soothing, earthy aroma that is known to be "grounding" for people.
