Anti-aging Beauty Secrets of Resveratrol in Organic Skin Care- Part I

Many people are getting really excited about recent scientific studies pointing to the possibility that the phyto- (plant)chemical compound Resveratrol may indeed be the long-sought-after Fountain of Youth!  When considering these new findings, it is helpful to understand where Resveratrol comes from to understand how it works. Resveratrol is a polyphenols antioxidant, one among 600 different antimicrobial compounds known as  phytoalexin, manufactured by plants as protection against adverse conditions- such as excessive ultraviolet light, infections and various climactic changes.

This natural antioxidant is commonly found in grapes, grapeseed oil, red wine and cocoa, and has been recently lauded for its anti-aging benefits. Various cosmetic companies have begun capitalizing on Resveratrol's purported health benefits in light of its anti-aging properties. Claims such as they carry products containing an Ester form of Resveratrol, Resveratryl Acetate, that can smooth lines and wrinkles, are filling the market. Some spas in Martillac, France and even ancient baths in New York offer baths that are filled with red wine, and state these resveratrol treatments actually work by being absorbed deeply into the various layers of the skin.

Recent research is is growing on Resveratrol's anti-aging benefits when topically applied to human skin, and some studies suggest the bio-compound could very well be helpful to skin. One study published by the National Institutes of Health in 2005 showed promising results. When Resveratrol was topically applied to the skin of laboratory animals, then later subjected to high ultraviolet radiation, researchers learned the plant compound actually protected the animals! One researcher also stated, "It might be the ultimate sunblock for both plants and animals. In animals, it was shown to help prevent the development of skin cancer."

Stay tuned for more exciting news on Resveratrol - Coming Soon in Part II of our Blog!

All-natural, Organic Grape Seed Oil actually has the ability to  increase the amount of collagen in the skin - how's that for rejuvenation and anti-aging?  It has powerful healing properties for the skin, as it greatly reduces inflammation, the most common cause of disease.  The essential oil is known to heal skin lesions caused by Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, and many other common skin disorders. The botanical oil contains linoleic, olecic, palmatic, stearic and palmitoleic acids, is rich in natural Vitamins E, C, D, as well as Beta Carotene. Organic Grape Seed Oil's marvelous anti-aging properties, due to its richness of natural antioxidants, include firming and toning the skin. It can also alleviate stretch marks, varicose veins and severely dry skin.

This essential oil is light green in color due to the natural chlorophyll remaining in it, and its richness in Linoleic Acid  gives it the powerful anti-inflammatory properties. It is known to be a very effective emollient, as it nourishes and smooths skin, improving the appearance of wrinkles and other common signs of aging.  Recent scientific research has also demonstrated Grape Seed Oil's ability to stimulate skin cells' regeneration- i.e. cause new skin cell growth!

Whether used in its pure, organic essential oil form or used as an organic ingredient in facial and body moisturizers, Organic Grape Seed oil absorbs quickly and easily- it doesn't just sit on top of the skin like synthetic, petro oils and chemicals, which is largely why it is such an effective moisturizer and has the ability to heal skin.  It has a lovely, botanical  fragrance and is non-greasy, as well.  This essential oil is also known for its ability to retain skin moisture, improve acne and is non-allergenic. Organic Grape Seed Oil has been found to be highly beneficial for all skin types (even oily skin!), it is often  recommended for skin types that do not easily absorb moisture.  Want to have the magnificent anti-aging and healing benefits of this lovely organic essential oil in your daily skin care regimen? Best Natural Benefits of Organic Coconut Oil in Organic Skincare

http://bit.ly/1jT9tFhVirgin Coconut Oil is gaining more and more attention in the Organic Skincare arena for its many naturally beneficial properties for skin & hair. When Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is applied to the skin, bacteria - always present on the skin- turn triglycerides, also present, into free fatty acids and increase the number of anti-microbial fatty acids on the skin. This is how the essential oil lends the skin protection from infection.  The free fatty acids also help to improve the acid environment on the skin, which discourages disease-causing germs.

When showering or bathing, ordinary cosmetic soap washes the protective layer of natural oil and acid off the skin.  Often the skin then becomes tight and dry and is vulnerable to infection.  Using an organic soap made with virgin coconut oil, lotion or just pure Virgin Coconut Oil in your daily natural, organic skincare routine will soon help to restore the skin's natural anti-microbial and acid barrier.

Many people use organic Virgin Coconut oil daily to moisturize after bathing, because it absorbs easily and keeps the skin hydrated without feeling greasy, unlike other oils used to treat rough, dry skin.  It will also help to reduce chronic skin inflammation of the skin within days and be soothing and healing to wounds, blood blisters, rashes, bruises as well.

Pure Virgin Coconut oil is an incredible moisturizer- as effective as mineral oil at the prevention of dryness and flaking, but without the harmful side effects of exposing your skin to petroleum products. Organic Coconut oil also has inherent anti-oxidants that are powerfully effective against the onset of the visible signs of Aging - fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and sagging. The oil is well-documented in recent scientific studies to have real healing properties, which aid in the treatment of many skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

Somewhat surprisingly, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is also an effective anti-fungal treatment.  Research has shown it actually kills Candida Albicans yeast. Some scientists believe this is due to the Coconuts' high levels of caprylic acid, which has anti-fungal qualities. Overgrowth of Candida Albicans in the body and on the skin is caused by a number of factors- antibiotics, birth control drugs, and diet. This overgrowth is associated with a large number of health issues.

http://bit.ly/1aaYDHcLauric acid is another key component of virgin coconut oil.  When the bacteria on the skin break down lauric acid, they create monolaurin. Monolaurin is a substance that kills "bad" bacteria and viruses  on the outside of the body as a sort of "first line defense." The immune system then does not have to burn up energy to fight these microbials inside the body. It would seem then, that topically applied Organic, Virgin Coconut Oil is also a valuable support to the immune system.

Pure Virgin Coconut Oil is completely chemical free and also beautifully, naturally one of the best hair conditioners on the planet. - More on this in the Continuation of this Post -Coming Soon!

Beauty Secrets & Benefits of Organic Cedarwood Oil

Cedarwood Oil, or Cedras atlantica, (genus species) is found on the market under many different names.  It's name  "Cedras" comes from an Arabic word, "kedron,” which means “Power."  However, many plants in the Cupressaceae family may be sold under the Organic Cedarwood Essential Oil label.

Cedarwood Essential Oil has a soothing, earthy aroma that is known to be "grounding" for people. It has traditionally been used by the Sumerians, Egyptians and Tibetans, and this "sacred" oil, as it is so revered by many, is also mentioned over 40 times in the Bible. This particular species is the one most directly related to the Cedars of Lebanon quoted in the Bible.

This organic essential Oil contains the highest amount of sesquiterpenes, a hydrocarbon group found in essential oils.  Sesquiterpenes are the components that actually oxygenate at the cellular level,  which promotes circulation and releases toxins. Cedarwood Oil is great for the hair and skin, is a powerful lymph decongestant and is even known to reduce cellulite!

ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, or the actual antioxidant capacity of a food item.  Much research has proven that antioxidants reduce the risk of age related conditions and cancer.  For example: Clove = 1,078,700; Oranges = 750. and by the way, thye ORAC Value shown here for Clove is NOT a typo!  What is the ORAC Value for Cedarwood Essential Oil? 169,000 µTE/100g - fairly amazing!

This essential oil has great Anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, too - hence it's effectiveness with skin conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis!  It can also be utilized to cure fungal infections of the skin.  In addition, it is highly anti-microbial, prevents wounds from becoming septic and protects them from tetanus germs. It can also safely be applied externally on wounds as an anti-septic and is commonly used as an ingredient in herbal antiseptic creams.

Our most favorite quality of this favorite "sacred" oil is absolutely  it's FANTASTIC fragrance - Exotic, woodsy, and earthy with a hint of citrus -- sensual, too! Some people have written that they believe Organic Cedarwood Essential Oil has a way of making you feel safe and secure within your environment, and yourself.  Why not try some today and see if you feel the same?  (:

Essential Oil of Pine Benefits in Organic Skin Care

Organic essential Oil of Pine is obtained from the needles of the tree commonly known as the "pine," derived from the Latin or scientific name, Pinus Sylvestris. The tree most likely originated in Austria and Russia before it migrated to many different areas of the world. One of Nature's best-known healing "powerhouses," it has reportedly been used for millenia due to its many health benefits, including its ability to reduce inflammation and associated redness.

Additionally, this botanical essential oil is widely-known in natural healing circles for it's ability to cure skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis, boost the immune system, fight fungal and viral infections, protect against sinus infections, clear mucus and phlegm, stimulate the mind and body, and to "de-germ" your home and body. Organic Pine Oil may be best known for its plenitude of Aroma therapy benefits, some of which include its stimulating & energizing effects on the body and mind, prevention of lower respiratory infections, adrenal fatigue support and effective treatment of mild depression- through its emotional support benefits, such as excellent mood elevator, mind- & body-energizing and stress reducer.

It is important to know that Organic Pine Oil is widely considered to be an excellent natural treatment and preventative for various skin disorders. As noted above, the oil's powerful inflammation-reducing, curative properties for Psoriasis and Eczema and strong cleansing abilities make it the perfect choice to include in a daily skin care regimen. Not only does it treat Psoriasis and Eczema, it is also effective in combatting skin itching, pimples and common skin diseases, poor skin, sores, and even fleas!

Organic Pine has strong anti-oxidant properties that also destroy free radicals, which can destroy the  health of your skin. Free radicals attack healthy skin cells and cause the symptoms of premature aging- wrinkles, dark spots & sagging skin. Pine essential oil fights free-radicals, and thus helps prevent the process of skin cells breaking down, or the process of aging.  We can all benefit from a little more of that (anti-aging benefits) in our lives!
